505.417.7062 Ana Edwards has been practicing Nia on a daily basis for four years. She completed her Nia White Belt training and became a Licensed Nia Teacher in October, 2006. Her intent is to share holistic healing and body harmony via the Nia technique with all those who dream of experiencing the joy of movement through the body's innate sense of dance. Ana's Nia experience is supported by an extensive music education, a Masters Degree from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and many years of Modern Dance training. In October, 2009 she completed her Nia Brown Belt. "Nia is delicious, intense and life-altering. Be powerful, be flexible, stay young - try Nia!" ***NEWS FLASH*** If you are interested in being part of an Exercise study, I and Pam Arenella, Nia Blue Belt are looking for people between the ages of 18-55 who are healthy enough to exercise and are overweight, to participate in a study designed to examine whether there are benefits of a mind/body approach to aerobic exercise that may be fore fun and more sustainable than traditional exercise programs. This project will last 8 weeks and is being conducted by the University of New Mexico at the Center for Life Integrative Medicine Specialty Clinic.
